Hey friends
On the phone last night my friend Dan told me this story
of what is going on at his church. Please read. Please pray.
I had him write it to me so that I could get it right.
Below is his email to me:
"Boys will be boys- this is a difficult story to
absorb... In Bloomington the kids were at church Sat
evening doing this thing where you insert a thumbtack
into the rivet of a soda can and shake it up to cause
a Coke & Mentos effect on the thumbtack. Well the tack
wouldn't release. The pastor's 6 yr old son Efraim,
was inspecting the can when the tack dislodged and
entered his mouth piercing into his esophagus. His
body reacted by the esophagus swelling completely and
he couldn't breathe. When the paramedics arrived, they
performed an immediate tracheotomy on the boy so he
could breath through his neck (hopefully). With the
incission for the tracheotomy the boys body went into
shock causing his heart to stop. The medics primary
concern now was to get the heart going. After nearly
20 minutes of continuous chest compressions and
assisted breathing... nothing. The doctors at HCMC had
reported to the pastor that they had done all they
could do. With that the father went off with rebuttal
and rebuking of satan and death and declaration that
in the name of Jesus Christ his son be risen when a
blip appeared on the monitor.... then another... the
astonished staff with the exception of a nurse who
attributed luck to have shown up, witnessed the truth
of a miracle last nite. Efraim is still in need of
heavy prayer, it is without any argument that his life
has been restored, but he still has no ability to
maintain a steady heartbeat, breath on his own or show
any sign of brain activity. Efraim's 28 yr old sister
found herself in tears accepting Jesus in the ER upon
this scenario last nite. The point of this is to
recruit BELIEVERS not believers or Believers but
BELIEVERS to pray in BELIEF in the rest of this
miracle. He does not begin things He does not finsh.
NEVER underestimate the power of your prayers! In
agreement we are expecting complete restoration, a
brain is unable to survive on its own without oxygen
greater than 7 minutes. Also, an unbeating heart is
unable to beat on its own. Efraim is clearly not
